Nicolas took swimming lessons the entire month of July. He had a great time and really came a long way. He can hold his own in the deep end (these lessons were held in the 12' diving pool). Oliver was still little enough that he slept all the time - I just carried him around in my Baby Bjorn. Gavin was another story. The only way I could keep him strapped in his stroller and calm every day was to feed him. Naturally.
